  1. Help Aggie the Alien find her way around the NHS


    Hillingdon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is asking parents, grandparents and carers to encourage children to enter a fun story competition, designed to get them thinking early about how to use NHS services.

    The story revolves around Aggie the Alien who has come to visit Hillingdon with her family from outer space and unsurprisingly she has no idea about what the NHS is! She is looking for support and advice so she can look after herself during her stay on earth.

  2. Closure of Hillingdon Centre for Independent Living

    2 February 2018

    The contract for the provision of disability aids and equipment and which runs from Hillingdon Centre for Independent Living has come to an end, 31 January 2018. The current providers of the service, Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust, have indicated they do not wish to continue to provide the service due to low-levels of demand.

  3. Help Aggie the Alien - NHS Hillingdon CCG Short Story Competition for 5-10 year olds


    Aggie the Alien has come to visit Hillingdon with her family from a far far away planet.  Unfortunately Aggie has no knowledge about who the NHS are or what they do.

    This is where we need your help!

    We are looking for your short stories to create a book that Aggie could keep and use during her stay here.  This book will teach Aggie based on your stories how to look after herself and how to use some of our local NHS services here in Hillingdon.

  4. Need a GP at the weekend or in the evening?

    In addition to normal opening times, GPs and nurses are offering patients appointments in the evening, on weekends and bank holidays.

  5. Patients reminded to request repeat prescriptions in good time for the holidays

    Christmas and New Year can be a busy time when mundane chores like checking medicine supplies can be overlooked. But local GPs are warning people to order repeat prescriptions early to ensure they have enough to tide them over the holiday period when GP practices and pharmacies are closed.
