We are looking to redesign our local Urgent Care Centre and we want you to be involved!
16 June 2017
Hillingdon CCG is working to develop the current Urgent Care Centre based at Hillingdon Hospital. We want to ensure it can deliver on several crucial areas and we want to hear from you during the process.
We want to create a system which will be able to provide excellent and accessible healthcare support for urgent and emergency needs. It should deliver access to the right care first time for the majority of patients. We want this to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year so that whenever you need urgent care, it is easily and quickly available.

What is the Urgent Care Centre?
- Provides support for non-life threatening urgent health issues
- A GP led service operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- In Hillingdon, it is based at the front end in the same building as the Accident and Emergency Department at Hillingdon Hospital.
By making sure that the system is joined up, intuitive and truly patient-centred, we can future-proof and strengthen care across Hillingdon. People with urgent care needs can be seen or redirected to the appropriate service more often closer to home, improving satisfaction and reducing pressure on our accident and emergency departments. For those with more serious needs we must ensure access to high quality care in appropriate facilities with the right expertise.
